I am your host Martin Comtois and I am grateful for your visit.
I have been a practicing astrologer for almost two decades now and I have been a student of the art for twice that long. My main influences have been the work of Liz Greene in astrology and Carl Gustav Jung in analytical psychology and dream work.
The Healer and the Dreamer came to me after reading Jung’s last major work and his magnum opus: the Mysterium Coniunctionis, which I translate as the Mystery of the New Moon. In this treatise, number 14 of the collected works, Jung combines astrology and alchemy to provide insight into the process of the union of the opposites and the process of individuation. This work of great importance had a tremendous impact on me and continues to drive me to share these conclusions with my clients through astrology readings, dream analysis and mentoring. I also seek to contribute through writing on this website and publishing videos on my Youtube channel .
Recently my life has dramatically changed. After 25 years in British Columbia and the previous 20 years in the western United States. I have recently come to my natal home of Québec to care for my aging mother. I now find myself on a tiny archipelago in the gulf of the Saint Laurence called les Iles de la Madeleine. We are living in the tower like small house my mother built on the coast line of the island of Havre Aubert. As you can imagine this major change has not been easy and has affected my practice as an astrologer significantly. I have continued doing sessions to support new and old clients but I have temporarily stopped doing videos and astrological commentaries. After a year here with my 86 year old mother we are starting to grow more roots and stability, my mom’s health has greatly improved since we have returned to her home and so I find my self having more time to devote to the renewing of my practice. The first step is to rebuild this website to reflect these profound changes and the accompanying evolution in my studies and my work.
